Eyes a heavy lidded stew of shadow-sapphire
circles of maelstorm a wet-hot pure blue fire
I don some old denim jeans, I'm holy far beyond my means
I strut to a higher power, tattooed greasy with poormans-desire

Hillbillied with voodoo this accursed godspell of aspired poet-pain,
I'm a black dog chasing a valued-hoodoo to hallowed crossroads in triumphant-loser-vain
I'm India ink permanent ,I'm determined like spanish moss
I'm a trackless speeding-bullet train and a diamond encrusted iron cross

I'm sleepless like the bottom of a coffee cup , I'm wired like a well-tuned apocalypse right on time
I'm bonafide well but then I get sick, I'm spellbound-rickied, like cherry and lime
I'm cotton t-shirt pure ,bolt of lightning and shark's-tooth demure
I'm on this poet's broke-nail tour, at break-neck speed I drop on a dime,I sell blaspheme, I dole rhyme.

Do you play guitar, Pen? I think some really beautiful songs would come out of your poetry. I love the rhyme and everything, can almost hear it as a song

Bass..not so much since the nerve damage in my hand makes it lock up..but I sang in a GNR cover band as well.I am inclined lyrically, a professor at UMASS told me that once too.hehe.Thanks so very much Indre,I'm glad you "listen"!!
