A flicker of my friend might remain
On the inside cause outside is gone
She will never be where she belongs
I can hear the contagious laughter she brought
I remember the crushes we had, I remember her thoughts
I still have all those notes we wrote
When we should have been doing school work
I would not trade the books now
These notes hold way more worth
What has come of you now ??
Buried yourself alive ?
What happened to my sister my friend?
She has lost her will to survive
If I could say a prayer for you
And I do every night
When I see a beautiful sunset
Or a star shining bright
I think that is your soul up there
So beautiful like a diamond gleam
God passed the clouds over the sun
then He smiled down on me
Even though you walk this place
Like me and we never meet
I know that when I see a star
Thats you shining down on me
Like the rivers that flow to the sea
You flow to me
Longer than the light from a lighthouse can reach
You reach down to me

I watched my friends body whither away
But I remember her in the day
Of sunshine and swingsets
I remember her in the way
A cloud holds the sun up
I wont forget my friend I lost
Her soul is gone from me
I follow her step by step through my memory
Her hair was long and brown and shiney
Her face was happy and full of cheer
Now when I picture her face
I see a face full of fear
I see hair all broke and messy
Like the life that she made
I remember her in prom dresses
Now her face has no shades
Sunk in around her bones
Dies once happy flesh
Wilting like a dying flower
She puts herself to rest
I cant watch her die out there
So I watch the sun
I can't think of her in pain
I remember her before this all had begun
Like the rivers tha flow to the sea
She flows right pass me
Like the light and the sky and all the beauty
She shines down on me

This is so lovely and so sad all at once.

thank you all.. its a true story and she has been in rehab now for almost a year and it really helps her and she has been clean for months now so I keep praying for her.. She will get her son back one day, she is a good person she just lost sight of her life and got caught up.. She is a magnificent person under her "crystal curse" I love her no matter what kind of mistakes she has made that all I can do is love her and pray for her..

wow that was amazing, PJ... tough watching a friend take that path..

Thank you both very much.. it is very tough but she is better now.. not 100% but so far better than what she use to be. I thank God for her everyday... She is a inspiration of hope and that ppl can change and can get better.
