I read Nicole Richie's "The Truth About Diamonds" and it was a really good book and I decided that I would atleast TRY to START writing a book. It's loosely based on Nicole's book. Here's what I have of the introduction so far (any opinions are appreciated!) :

Ah, Hollywood. Glamour. Parties. Drugs. Sex. Friendship. (In that order.) You see celebrities on the red carpet as Ryan Seacrest hosts the Pre-Emmy Awards show on E!. You see them accepting their awards at the Grammy’s while looking stunning in whatever designer-of-the-moment outfit they’ve chose to dress in that evening. You’ve seen them stir up controversy. (Who could forget Paris’ sex tape or Madonna’s adoption?) You’ve seem them at their worst. (I.e., Mel Gibson’s arrest, Nicole Richie’s numerous arrests, etc.). So you pretty much think you have the whole picture of what Hollywood is really about. But don’t you ever wonder what happens behind the scenes? Not just behind the scenes, but behind-the-mother-****ing-scenes? It’s anything but glamorous. It’s anything but parties and diamonds. It’s a road between Hollywood and hell. Ashley Taylor unknowingly went down that road and seemingly crashed right before she got to hell, but to her it felt like she had been there and back time and time again.

Before you get too confused, let me explain who Ashley Taylor actually is. She was one of Hollywood’s kind-of-it girls. She wasn’t yet famous, but wasn’t unknown. She was well known in Hollywood, but she had yet to achieve ‘’nation domination’’ like the rest of her peers. Sure, she could sing, but she hadn’t found a record label that didn’t know that she was a big cokehead. And she had no plans to give up the white powder that was the only thing that made her feel free. Everyone pretty much knew that she used drugs, even her parents, though they were still in denial. Her dad owned a franchise of five-star hotels throughout the western United States. He was your basic Hollywood millionaire: Always working, cheating on his wife, and binge drinking until he found himself hanging over a five-star toilet seat in a five-star bathroom of one of his five-star hotels with one of his two-star mistresses taking his wallet for as much as they could.

I have TONS of respect for peeps that have the guts to do written creation, lol. Keep on doing that I can't give you a normal opinion because I'm not really into writing, so I can't know what's good or what's wrong in this area, lol

hi sinking in ...well take yer time and get it proof read ...then if you can afford the publishing ...you can mail it to yourself and never open it ...when its done...and it will be dated. ...and you can go to any bookstore and ask if they would carry it to sell ...coz a friend of mine ...well did get it published and just went to Barns and Noble and asked ...and they said yes?. ...
so good luck ...dont keep changing what you write ...that will confuse your train of thought ...sometimes what you think is bad ...others think its great! ive been writing a book for a while now ....keep changing it ...and it prolly will never be done lol.....good luck ..and good start on your book !
