Just wanted to let ya all know that everytime I go on myspace I get spyware and I have to remove it!!!! They hide in your documents and settings section.

ok so there is a new way of these advertising companies stealing your passwords... now when you screw up... not only are they going to take your password... but they are hacking into your profile and editing your navigation bar so that anyone you know who clicks on it gets prompted to enter their login information into a fake login screen!!!!!! sneaky huh?

this navigation bar is highlighted blue



and when you click on the buttons it doesnt take you to home, or browsing, or music, or any of that fun stuff... it takes you to a FAKE login page



looks real huh? sneaky right? IF YOU EVER GET PROMPTED TO ENTER YOUR LOGIN INFORMATION AFTER YOU HAVE ALREADY LOGED IN... JUST CHECK THE WEB ADDRESS AT THE TOP OF THE PAGE... IF THERE IS NO "MYSPACE.COM" ANYWHERE IN THE ADDRESS... SIMPLY CLOSE THE WINDOW AND START OVER AGAIN! DO NOT BECOME A VICTIM OF THIS GARBAGE!

ok so if any of you notice you have the fake navigation bar on your page... here is how you fix it...

go to edit profile... and then in the "about me" section you will scroll all the way to the bottom... and you will find the code...



delete all of the red boxed off text... AND ONLY THAT TEXT! this will not affect your profile in any way... it will just remove the fake navigation bar... if you mess up your profile you clearly did not pay attention!its not hard

once you have deleted the text... save changes... look at your profile and make sure the navigation bar is back to normal... then CHANGE YOUR PASSWORD!!!!!

sooooo now thats all done!

again... if you EVER get prompted to enter your login information after your initial login... pay attention... something should go off in your head that says hey this is fishy... look at the address and make sure it includes "myspace.com" somewhere in the address... EVERY SINGLE PAGE ON THIS SITE includes "myspace.com" in the web address... no matter how long or short it may be!!!! so pay attention... hell if anything change your password frequently... the more we let these advertisement companies ruin this site... the worse and worse its going to get on here... so spread to word and re-post this bulletin for all your friends to see as a heads up!!!!! i already know at least 10 ofmy friends got scammed off my page and ive done my best to help them out...

There is a big problem with posting comments currently. If you happen to go to a friends page and have a pop-up that says you need to click "OK" to "activate active X controls"...DON"T!!!!!!!!!!

Instead click the little x in the upper right corner of that pop-box and then use your back button and escape the page....please!!!

Next you need to go to the edit function on your page and check the "about me" section and also the "movie" section. Scroll to the end of those sections and look for the below coding and get rid of that. Make sure you check both sections and than after getting rid of that coding....make sure you click save all changes. Then review your own page and hopefully that "active X control" will not pop-up when you review your page.

ACTIVE X prompt on profile

if you receive an ''ACTIVE X'' prompt when viewing your profile, you might have bad HTML. Please check your ''general'' OR ''about me'' section for this code (or something similar - it can usually be found at the very bottom of the section):

or something similar - REMOVE it ASAP

once you view a page with this code, it'll embed onto your profile automatically. so make sure to check your page often and remove it as soon as you see it!

if u dont, then u will just spread it to all of yr friends, n so on, n so on...

Sorry if some of it might not make any sense...I had to get rid of the URL links so you wont click them by accident.

Basically if there are any codes that you did not put in your profile...GET RID OF IT!

Also I seen where Tom posted a BLOG about people getting your MySpace password and then making it look like that you posted all of these weird bulletins but, you didn't. If this happens to you change your password right away.

I HAVE ALL KINDS OF SPYWARE DETECTION AND THEY STILL GET IN!!!!!!! ggrrrrr It removes it right away , but I wish it would stop it beforehand

Do you have norton security LJ, because they are really good at blocking it before it eneters. On Myspace there are several problem which they catch fast I had to change my password alsoit ****s!

GRRRRRRRRRRRhhhhhhhhhhhh -- can never keep up with it all- think U have the most up to date and then ~~!@!
