Freedom Has A Dream

Freedom M******, a first year student @ F***** college recently came runner up in the Forward Press poetry competition, 'i have a dream'

" i did not have to look far to find a topic", says Freedom. "my inspiration came from song lyrics, from Elvis and his daughter Lisa Marie Presley. The poem 'Soundtrack of my life' used paraphrases of Lisa's songs and had an underlying theme of bullying. i started writing at 14 after my grandfather died and i needed to express my emotions. i would like my poems to help others.

Freedom has been studying English Literature and Language @ AS level alongside BTEC business. these courses have enables Freedom to develop her skills and pursue her desire to write further


sorry for blowing my own trumpet especially on this day but i couldn't beleive the college put it in the paper Smiler i only thought they would put it around collge
