she AINT mainstream ... hasnt been since the start... she probably wont ever be recognized by "corporate" music america.. very few of the good bands/artists are... its all bubble gum pop or violent rap...

I agree the music industry is saturated with the fake hair, fake body parts, skimpy clothes, lip synching while hip-hop dancing but STILL. There should be room for some people who can actually write, sing, perform live and connect with fans. We all know Capitol treats Lisa like s.hit and I know Lisa will NOT conform to any packaging, which is one of the things I LOVE about her, but I still believe there has to be a way for her to be at least occasionally be acknowledged by this stoopid industry. Maybe if she could find a publicist she liked who would be kick a.ss? In the Jonesy interview, Lisa said Lisa Perry can be a hitmaker and/or just work with the artist's vision. Maybe if Lisa found the Lisa Perry of publicists?? Usually I am a huge, dark cynic, but I have to have hope there will be light in the music biz, to let some real music in. I feel too guilty enjoying Lisa's music with her other fans when so many others don't know she's out there and rocks. It's like we're all eating gourmet and the public is eating day-old dog s.hit!!

PhoneLines... i toooo hope that the industry can wake up and go back to the good old days of loving originality....

You answered your own question, Suzana. Paris Hilton was there - this says a lot about those shows. What would Lisa be doing in a show where Paris Hilton is an invited guest? I don't think they should be anywhere on the same level

That is my point Indre...the likes of Paris Hilton are invited, yet Lisa who has SO MUCH talent is not???? I was hoping the music industry was swinging back toward actual talent!

When is paperboy day was what I was getting at. I need to mark a calendar. Notice that a "my" was not put in there? For advent, I am giving up being so possessive. Oh shoot, I was used. From now on, Kelly will be speaking in the third person. But then that makes Kelly like a third child. When in actuality, I am only the second child of the family.
