Some of you may have noticed, I haven't been posting here in a long long time. I am going to try and be around more, but as always the best way to contact me (if anyone wants to that is) would be thru my personal e-mail, which you have to PM me to get

dont know how long i will stay thou my life at the moment is hectic, what wiht training and relationships and my newest job and summer and family and friends and just general life...
ohh, and i forgot to mention, i am a 1st Dan in Aikido now (1st Dan is the 1st level of black belt)
And that's a good question. We were hoping for about 30, but so far we've only got about 12 people confirmed. But then even Sam, Gemma & Lesley haven't handed in forms yet so we should have well over 20 by the time the usuals all get sorted out. And even that's a huge improvement on last year!
i hope that loads and loads of people turn up and you all have an amazing time I'm sorry that i have to miss it, but i totally need the money, and so i couldnt turn down this job hard work starts this week thou :/
hehe it's okay, it's just a shame - would have been good if you could have come see us all before everyone disappears to uni. Good luck with the job - don't work too hard though!
Kirsty, I am second Dan. I wish that I could continue with my Tae kwon Do, but with my hip and back/leg problems its out of the question. My best friend in upstate NY owns his own DOJANG and is a 6th Dan. He is such a wonderful man and teacher. Unlike many a Dojang these days, he does not pair children with adults or let the children, even the young ones talk or lose focus during class time. How long have you been studying martial arts? I am thinking of trying to get into Hapkido as that is not as hard on the back and legs, less kicking and punching, more of a pressure point art.

Aikido isnt any kicking or punching really, more about movement, using your Ki (mind) and co-ordination between mind and body
september 10th will mark 6 years since i started. however, when i move on September 23rd i wont be able to train the 3-5 times a week that i do at the moment, as there arent any clubs in the area that i am moving to sadly
juniors dont get to train with adults within Aikido, you start training with the adults when you are 14, but as a youth until you are 16, which means a different grading sylabus
