I normally dont like doing this...But I could use all the help I can get..Sebastian is my 4 year old black lab mix...He was a hurricane Francis rescue baby. He never was really quite normal. In fact we call him Rain Man all the time..Wicked anxiety this poor kid has...Well, we moved a few weeks ago..He has been weird so we chalked it up to the change. He became soooooo sick in like 2-3 days...What we thought was anxiety was him panting bc he basically has liver failure...His levels were off the chart and his white blood count wicked low. Needless to say we are beside ourselves..I love that lil guy and my heart is breaking. The vet gave him a blast of B6, rehydrated him and took a ton of tests. They gave us different food and more vitamins. We have to go back in a few days.

He seems a little better tonight than earlier. He ll we thought he was going to die!! Gahhhhhhhhh this bites. We have no idea how this happened to him...He eats only organic really expensive dang food..He runs on the beach at least 5 days a week. This is insane.

Well, sorry for the rant...But I needed to I love my little guy. So if you have a sec, could ya talk to the big guy for me...I would owe ya big time!!! Thank you

syd you know i am here for you...... the food thing happens alot.... no matter how expensive, they get sick sometimes eventually.

Ps. when my cat was throwing up every other day..... he was eatin excellent cat food as well (like yer dog) i took him to the vet, they gae him drugs and new food and new wet food.

love the name and THANK YOU for rescuing (sp?) him...and cant you make like a human recipe like rice and turkey and veges? i heard that somewhere...prolly alot cheaper ..i feel ya tho coz Miss Kitty has to go to the vet alot and it does get expensive. ...in fact im going tomrw. to take her for blood work and ill ask the vet what recipe homemade you can make organically....ill get back to ya. ....

Hey Maj...Thanks so much...yeah he was on rice and chicken for a few days because he stopped eating his food. His food is fine tho..The vet changed it to make sure getting extra vitamins and nourishment that the liver failure was causing...I guess...We were so shocked that I didnt ask half the questions I now have. I am calling the vet back tomorrow.

In the meantime, he seems a tad stronger but he is weird! I just walked into the LR and he was standing up against the wall staring at it...Weird Lil Rain Man...Poor kid
