I don't know if there was a thread like this before, I didn't find one, but I was wondering how you all became fans of Lisa's music? Were you into Elvis and Priscilla or were you a Michael Jackson fan and decided to give her a album a listen, or did you just come upon one of her videos on TV or something?

(i'll tell mine after, I want to be sure I'm not the only one who became a fan this way, hahah!)

I have been an ELvis fan since I was three years old. I was always intrigued with her I think alot because my real dad was a monster and I always dreamed Elvis was my dad lol oh the way children learn to cope huh? I always heard she had a voice and couldnt wait to hear her sing. I love all types of music though from oldies to classical to hip-hop. But she is a definite talent in her own right. No offense to anyone here but you go to the shows and you see these gentlemen with the sideburns and the whole get up going on which is great but I dont think it belongs in her show. At the Ft Wayne show I saw quite a few of the 50 plus crowd looking really bored and one man was even dozing off while she was singing. I understand why people are interested in her because of that..but give her the respect for working her *** off to get where she is and doing it her way on her own terms..well, i have said enough hope I didn't offend anyone. If I did I am sorry in advance.

I remember Elvis I was 9 years old when he died I remember that day like it was yesterday.
and Lisa is 10 months older then me. so we are close to the same age. I love the Presley family I dearly love Lisa and Elvis I watched lisa grow up and I admire lisa so much.
I also love Lisa's music and her father's music too.

I'm an Elvis fan and kind of follow Lisa but not to any great degree and also being an MJ fan meant that I kind of became a bit more interested in her and when To Whom It May Concern came out & I heard Lights Out on TV when she was on Jonathan Ross here in the UK I liked it so I thought I'd give the album ago, out of pure curiosity I have to say... and well the rest is history as they say

Well grew up listening to her dads music and loved it then when Lisa came out with her frist cd I was like man I gotta check this out I loved it that girl can sing and also her songs are easy to relate to you don't have to sit and wonder hey whats this song about you know what it's about when you hear it and I like that.

I saw Lisa on commercials for the Diane sawyer interview i think it was...Lisa had already done Lights out...The minute I saw it I was hooked...Sorry...First by her beauty and moves But then i listened and watched...Her music was amazing and the lyrics deep..I could def relate...And havent felt that in a long time with any band...Gah thats another thread.. Then I looked her up...Have been a fan ever since...And you rock Mizz whatever ur calling urself these days I heart you

I have been a HUGE Elvis fan since I was 8 years old. I didn't find out that we had the same birthday until after I started liking him. I began to find out more and more about him and that's when I learned about Lisa and Cilla. I started liking Lisa when I saw pictures of her in my Elvis books and then I serched the internet to find more stuff about her and I was really excited when I heard that she was coming out with an album and I bought it the first day it came out. Her music helps me get through the day. Even if I listen to other music, I always fall back to LMP. I just love her so very much ((hugs)) to Lisa Meeting her was just the icing on top of a cake

I was in a music store and was surprised to see Lisa's first CD. At that time, I wasn't aware she had a CD. I went to the internet and found this site. I liked her music and bought her second CD as well.

Like most folks, I grew up listening to the parents playing Elvis records but that's not why I'm a Lisa fan. I really like her music and I put her famous heritage aside when I listen.

Well, I liked Lisa ever since I knew she existed---which was when she was married to Michael Jackson lol (I was really young back then and didn't even know Elvis had a daughter), but anyway...since I was 4 years old I have been a HUGE, HUGE, HUGEEEE Michael Jackson fan and I always loved seeing him and Lisa together. I never stopped liking her after their divorce unlike a lot of other MJ fans, and when I learned that they'd been back together even AFTER the divorce I was like oh cool I knew I liked this girl for a reason HAAHA, anyway...I bought Lisa's albums in January of last year when I'd heard a bunch of ppl on the MJ forums talking about how "horrible" they were *rolls eyes* so I was like yeah right they're just saying that bc they are h8ers, so I went and bought them. LOVED every single song! I loved her unique sound and strong powerful voice, I loooved that she doesn't use her body etc. to sell her albums, etc. Then I started reading about her and learning stuff about her and I was like WOW we have like the same personality and a lot of the quotes from her that I read sounded like something I would say, lol so I was like yeah now I'm REALLY a fan of this woman, she is AWESOME. And, even cooler, through HER I became an Elvis fan. Usually it's the other way around - Lisa fans begin to like Lisa bc of her father but it was diff. for me. I am REALLY picky about everything especially the music I like, and I loooove Lisa Marie. I listen to her music every day. I get a lot of **** from MJ fans about basically being obsessed with Lisa (haha) but I don't give an eff, she is a wonderful woman! WOW, that was long. Sorry guys!

Priscilla and LisaIwas always a fan of Elvis and still love his music and always will I never got to see elvis in concert but i did get to see Lisa And there are so many ways she is like elvis shes a rebel like her dad was when she came out on stage my heart felt like it was gonna stop

I had a dream about Elvis & Lisa Marie, In the dream he came to me (I never told that part before) but the dream was about Lisa Marie performing and me being close to the stage and staring at her and singing with her. I then found out she was performing at the Westbury music fair (with Chris Isaacs) so I purchased tickets and was so happy because it was my birthday too. Lisa Marie rocked the show and after the show show I don't know what made me walk around the concert hall(I never did before and I had been going there for years) but I did and I was singing "So Lovely" and Lisa Marie walked out and said don't get crushed and I got to talk to her and told her she should headline her own show because she was awesome and she told me she had to perform in Pittsburgh -I couldn't go to that one so she said I will be at The stone Pony in New Jersey I think it was the 20th of July-not sure at the moment, then I asked her to add So Lovely to the set list and she was just so beautiful and I told her that I loved her and she stop signing briefly and looked me directly in the eyes and just smiled. I then went to the Stone Pony and was in the front row and she sung with me on "Lights Out" AND "S.O.B."-OMG it was dejavue and she came over for a moment during a sound error and the rest is history -I love her.
