If anyone has ever had one or just knows some cool things to do please let me know. This party is for the ages of 7-11 with a couple of 4 year olds thrown in there. Please tell me! Getting down to the wire and I am geting nervous.

wish I could help you MX, but not my area of expertise. if I ever wanted to do one I'd turn my house into a haunted house, with each room featuring different scary scenarios. but that would probably be too much for kids that age to handle.

My sister in law has great ideas for halloween parties for kids... One year she split the kids up into teams, gave them some toilet paper (or you could use something else if you'd like) and gave them like 10 minutes to make the best Mummy out of one of the kids that they could. (of course without smothering them lol) She's also had them bob for apples, bean bag toss into a board shaped like a pumpkin, and has had her own little Costume contest (best costume, scariest costume, funniest costume, etc.) but mostly everyone will get a prize by the end of the day. We're having another Haunted House this year with a Mad Scientist Room, a Clown Room and a bunch of other scary stuff. It's gonna be a blast! good luck

Let em decorate cupcakes or sugar cookies. Prebake them all or order them from a bakery unfrosted an let them put on the frosting, dye it like black and orange an other colors an get some of those little gel tubes of icing and put out halloween candy in lil dishes for them to pick to go on their cupcake/cookie. Might get messy but it would be fun an they would love it. Okay, it's me you knew it would be food related. Or you could do the clasic gross stuff in bowls an u put ur hand in it blindfolded..lol

you could make one of those an decorate it like a pumpkin...an make the insides orange and black..whatever colors.they'd think it was cool. I thought it was cool when me an a friend made them..an im 23 lmfao.

We didn't use sprite we just made the cupcakes like the box said an did our batter diff colors.

Individual pudding cups..choc pudding, crushed oreo on top for dirt, milano cookies for tombstones, and squeeze gel frosting.. you can write each kids name on one..or make like a graveyard cake...w/ gummy worms..

I iz morbid as sh*t, but it worked for Jenny's day care rofl.

use tissue boxes and cover the hole with plastic(kids have to reach their hand in without looking)
then fill with elbow macaroni(witches nails)
cooked spaghetti(brains)
or just some squishy rubber bugs
we once tied apples on strings and tried to have kids take a bite.whoever bit theirs first won a prize

the toilet paper mummy is fun too

- The toilet paper is a GREAT idea, but doesn't have to be limitted to mummies.. i've seen it done with dresses and things too.

- There's also a similar game where you get them to wrap each other in tape, with the sticky side facing OUT the way, and then have some sort of competition to see how many balloons you can stick on taped people.

- Scavenger/treasure hunts always work well, even if it's just to find things hidden around the house.


Depends on how messy you want to get, but you can have great fun with lots of foody games:
- have them dangle donuts from a string above someone else lying on the floor (which should probably be covered in newspaper or bin bags!). The donuts should be covered in some sort of colourful sauce (strawberry for vampires!) and the aim is to feed the donut to your partner the quickest using only the string. (They get covered in sauce. Hilarity ensues.)

- There's another similar game where you cover jelly babies (or halloween-themed sweets) in sauce and have to drop them into the mouth of the person lying on the floor, while you're standing on a chair.

- If you're bobbing for apples, which always works well, have them 'bob' for a piece of candy afterwards ..in a bowl of flour. Faces still wet from the apples = faces covered in flour.

So how did the party go or is it tonight ?

We did do the mummy game. I had toilet paper ALLLLL over my basment carpet! I mean COVERED!!!! We played Thriller and did freeze frame. Whoever moved was out and they were good and it took forver to get down to one! We did witch parts and passed them around and played pass the pumpkin. Of course the 5th grade boys were throwing it, then the 2nd grade girls folowed suit! It was CRAZY. Cake on the floor spilled punch everywhere. Sticky marshmellows stcuk in the carpet. I have decieded 30 kids will NEVER happen again at my house!!!!Lil sounds so cool. Wish I was going! Thanks for all your great ideas!
