i mean great news that your parents got electric not that the lady burnt her house down. I hea all the time that People have romantic sessions and forget or just pass out after the fun and leave them on. I alwys turn then off. Some peeps make an assumption that they will burn themselves out but it's ot true. My house has a fautly electrical system.

Thanks, LF. Yes, alot of people assume they will burn out but its really dangerous to do that. Oh, you need to have that fixed. Is it an older home? I know the older homes have outdated electrical systems. You gotta stay safe.

To late to get it fixed the house burned down already Q, lol but you are right it's because in older times the clip on the socket outlet internally were aluminum which conducts more heat and flames shoot out. Nowadays with a 50 inch television and dvd, vcr, surround sound system, playstation and amps -we all use so much more electricity then back then you know it's more dangerous if the sockets are old even if you have every thing plugged into a surge protector. It's just a good idea to have an electrican check it every five or ten years. Also if one socket burns and you are able to put it out or another just no longer works when you turn a light on, chances are you system is going -don't wait to have it fixed.

I am sorry to hear about the house. That is a tough thing to go through.

Thanks Q' but it's cool Material things don;t mean anything and you realize that when you are trying to save a turtle and gold fish as everything burns- As long as everyone is ok it's all good. I used to see people on television watching their homes burn and they would say that -I'm just glad everyone is safe and now I understand.Thank GOD FOR LITTLE THINGS.

Yeah, i'm only 4-5 hours away from home too, but my course is so hectic with placements and stuff that i haven't had the chance to go back home yet! My mum and dad are coming to get me on the 18th though and then i'll be back home until the 2nd of January =] *excited*
