my brother and new sister-in-law got married on june 30th! that's pretty trivial, lol.

My nephew in the military....While deployed, was able to buy his baby a Black Diamond...Had it set when he got home, Had a suit made....and they just got married!!! I attended the best party ever!!!! Celebration of their life together...Haaaaaaaaaaaaa...who woulda thunk it??

I am so in love with my family and friends...I have taken stuff for granted...But no more.

good for you, syd, i think everyone benefits when we don't take things for granted anymore, things always seem to be better than we realize, most the time anyway...

pen, you ARE the patron saint of eyes for sure! to make a 3 yr story short, i went in for routine lasek (not lasik but same diff) for vision correction, ended up sooooooo farsighted i couldn't see anything but the horizon clearly...

a year for healing and another surgery to correct the 1st... it fixed the right eye but made the left 20/2400!!! which cut out most of my being able to drive for these 2 yrs and no more driving a nite cos it made the halos/glare, worse.

another year for healing and i had the left eye re-done (prk last 2 times), and FINALLY, it's fluctuating 20/40-20/80 and i'll take it, tho nite driving may be a thing of the past now, even more halos/glare w/the left eye, and it's not as good as when i wore contacts and i'm still not comfy driving w/it where i'm unfamiliar, cos it takes a split sec for my brain to realize what my eye's seeing.... BUT, i'm grateful for what it is... may i ask what happened to yours?

I'll trade war stories witcha,UFO!! First off that'd a long haul, and i'm glad it is getting better for you!!I have celiac/diabetes/sarcoid and anemia which means my cells werent getting any oxygen,which led to vessels simply breaking down or blowing up in my eyes as randomly as they liked.The world has looked like it's been bleeding for a year,you can't look away from it, not even when you close your eyes, so I have been staring at my very own apocalypse,for what feels like forever now.The surgeries I've had are to remove the damaged vessels and blood spills in my eyes,they replaced the fluids, so I have my own eyes but the innards are prosthetic liquid.The world looks synthetic and pixelated, but I can deal with that.Therapy,anyone?lol. I hope you continue to get better and better, and I'm gonna try too!!

nothing i'm going thru could ever compare to what you've been thru; i never knew anything like your sitch could ever happen to eyes! i can't even imagine. i always said you could take everything i own and have, my arms, legs, etc, but if i have one working eye and arm from the elbow down, i could make a good life for myself. i was born legally blind but correctable and some other eye probs, so my eyes have never been taken for granted. is the red gone now from your vision? can they fix the pixelation? i sure hope so. my empathy is with you and my positivity for a better solution for you soon! i can live with what i now have, but i wish for better for you!

My left eye is pretty good, the right keeps having impromptu "seeing" moments lol, where the rest of the world is suddenly there, focusing in and out like static on a radio, kind of. I have steroid eye drops to help with the pixelation, to help the eye adapt to the more fluid,being larger, i feel bionic. We have the technology!LOL.I agree with you about the arm and an eye scenario, completely.You're a tough cookie UFO, I'm glad to be in your company, not a drop of your empathy will ever go to waste here!! back atcha!!\o/ *hugz*

Today i went to the minister's house to do some work and we ended up going out for strawberry tarts and coffee and having a silly chitchat.
That's highly trivial, but it made my day.

Howdy Pen, Deb and are headed out for Graceland tomorrow, we got two day passes. I am so freakin excited, can you tell, lmfao!!!

Haha, I am sure we will love it. Last time we could only stay there overnight, there was a Lisa concert to go to and of course I had to be there, lol. Deb will take pics for sure. I don't take many pics at all, I like to keep the memories in my heart. I will let you guys know how it goes.

UFO, it is prednalisone, and anti-biotics.I think it was my own personal version of hell to not be able to communicate what I felt,in words or pics.Friends rushed at me with dictaphones and books on tape and tried to make food taste better and walk slowly ith me, but the quiet alone times got to me.It's like having a stuffy head cold that you can see, and doesnt let up.I honestly can't believe that I can see again, everything defined and gorgeous, I don't waste a second of it, and if it all went away again, I will forever believe that it isn't permanent.I have to.My left eye is trying so hard to bust through and see as good as the other that it is ghosting what the other one can see, placing a shaky image of whatever I'm looking at over the clear side,it is very odd in here.It's been quite the experiene.As for the positivity,you're not going to beat anything by being in the dumps.You grab new weapons, and fight on, lick your wounds when they're healing.Never say die.I hope i do rate your tough cookie monniker.Thanks for the empathy,you have mine in return in faith and neverendingness.as it stands I'm sewing myself a big freakin merit badge on my jammies for this one,roflmao.Glad you talked to the nephew.That rocks!
