My daughter is 13 yrs old. She just turned 13 last august.

She did have a group of friends and a best friend until a few months ago.

The problem is her health.. we do not know what's wrong, but she's not feeling well..for the last few months She's tired, is hardly able to do anything.. she can't read, write r learn anything lately..

She can't go to school r do her homework, she can't even do anything on the pc, ...

The thing that's most disturbing, is her friends letting her down.. totaly..

It's so hard to see that.. must be a teenage-thing..

Anyway today, was a really bad day.. She told me, she'll jump of the roof, someday.. and that she's got just two friends left, that's me and my mom( her mom and granny)..

I was feeling so sad after she told me this.. had to cry and so did she..

I tried to explain, how it is..
But it is so hard.. to understand real friendship, at any age.. It hurts, I know..

I'm glad I am one of her friends.. but I'm hurt by the fact no-one of her so called 'real friends'are real..


Anyway, my girl needs some prayers tomorrow, for some tests, please hope for the best..

I don't know the English words for the tests, but, she'll have an EEG.. , they'll test her brain-functions.. In the best case it's migraine, in the worst a form of epilepsy. Epilepsy can be caused by a lot of things, including a brain-tumor..

SOOOOOOOOOO, pray for her,think good thoughts , send some good energy r whatever..

She's my girl and I love her.. please love her too..

my daughter was 13 in august too. she has a group of friends and a best friend...but lately it seems she goes through alot of the same things.i guess at that age girls dont realize the importance of thinking of others.life seems to be all about themselves.but keep in mind that even though she is sad...it is awesome that she thinks of you as a friend.alot of girls that age shut their moms out.
I hope that they can find out why she isnt feeling well.many prayers for you and her.Ill even get my 13 yr old to say one for her.

Prayers and hugs go out to you and your daughter. It is so hard for teens that age they go thru alot. Tell her she has tons of friends here, as do you. Hope everything turns out for you two. Let us know how she is.

So sorry for this time that you and especially your daughter is having. She is a beautiful girl. Please let her know she have lots and lots of us LMP Pirates thinking of her, praying for her. Tell her this as my grandparents told me. One should consider themselves lucky in life to have 2 good friends. Sure we have "friends" there for the parties but who is really there in times of need? This happens all over the world and with all of us I think?

Please keep us posted on the how she is doing and I hope to read in the near future good news of her feeling back to her old self.

Oh Mir I am so sorry to hear that. Please know that she is def in my prayers and I am gonna send this message along to my group so they can add her to their prayer list aswell.
Please keep us posted and let her know...she has alot of friends...she just doesn't know them yet....she is gonna have a ton come and go...but the true friends will always be there...no matter what!!!

The EEG -results are ok.. but her bloodtests not..

It's even difficult for me to explain in Dutch what's wrong.. but it's not good.

It has to do with hormones and they''ll do more research.. Next thursday s'he'll have an MRI.. ( is that an English word?)

Is hypofyse an English word?

That's what it's about.. they think it's bigger than usual r that there's a tumor in there..

Anyway, thanks for the prayers, good vibes and thoughts.. keep on sending that kind of stuf.. LOL..

I knew something was wrong the moment I won the trip to Memhis in 2005..

I told people I had the feeling something would go wrong after that..


Didn't know everything went wrong..

My husband's health, due to that, no matter what I try r how hard I work, I have to sell our house, savings gone and on top of that my kids are not happy and my daughter's health isn't ok.

Must be doing something wrong.

But.. I did read LJ's post about thanksgiving. Maybe I was just spoiled before, I don't know,

I just know I have to be and stay positive, I try but it's hard..

Thanks for thinking of us and be thankful for all the things you have in life.. Remember: being healthy and being there for you friends is the most important thing..
