My friend's got a son, he's 8 yrs old and he's fat. She's telling me, he's getting fatter and she doesn't know what to do.
My son is his best friend and he's skinny, maybe even too skinny. I feel sort of guilty.. but she's asking me what 'she should do...
I want to help her, but I don't know how.. I don't have to do a thing for my son, he just doesn't eat a lot and he moves all the time..

Please help me out, so I can help her..

My advice is for your friend to take her son to a family doctor for him to get a physical and to make sure he is ok .

A doctor def may be in order, he may have glandular, thyroid or diabetic issues hidden within him.Otherwise she simply needs to watch the things he's eating,more grains,less fat,more fruit fiber...leass Mickey D's or whatever fast food equivalent there is, and excercise.Maybe a school sport,or more chores around the house?Best of luck to him, and his health.

He may have health issues, such as a problem with his glands, perhaps. He def needs medical attn.

Thanks, but the problem is, her family doc is telling her to accept it, cause it's running in the family.

I think that's bs . She's obviously asking for help and he ( her son) def. needs it.

I think not every kid's born to be thin, but he's way too heavy..
