Okay...I'm a HUGE Elvis Presley fan...but when I first heard Lisa's voice I KNEW I'd be fan of HER'S forever....I'm curious...as to who all was turned on to Lisa...because of Elvis...(be it curiosity or loyalty.....) whatever....I think it's sooooo coooool that I have had two generations of PRESLEY'S....I hope and pray that one of Lisa's kids keep the musical tradition going....in whatever manner they see fit...but stay in music!!!!!!!

K, of course I knew who she was bc of Elvis...But I started seeing video footage and some of the interviews like Diane Sawyer...So I looked her up on the puter and have been hooked ever since.
Lots of peeps i think showed up bc of the curiousity factor. I dont think she cares what got you here...Its what keeps you here that matters...And its our girl    |

curiosity really- I heard Lights Out on VH1, and thought it was pretty cool, so I googled her and ended up on this site where I could listen to more of her music, and then I went and bought both her cd's

i've always known who she was but never followed her "tabloid" stories. i caught the lights out video and was hooked.

Well for me it was curiosity and getting bugged by one of my online Aussie mates to try out her music. I had my doubts, I'll be honest, I asumed she was trying to be like Daddy.....how wrong I was!!!! I fell in love instantly from the very first song I ever heard from her.

I am kind of in the same boat as Syd.. I always knew who she was, then saw her on TV time and again.... then, I just happened to be at the music store the day her CD came out and I saw it sitting on the rack and thought..Ohhhh I gotta get this! (not even knowing what she would sound like, i just liked her style on TV).. and haven't turned back since! LOL

I knew about lisa's family history but that is not why I love her so much lisa is her own person.she is her own individual an a original she made her way her own fingerprint without her father help or anyones elses. she did it all on her own.I have alot of respect for her and alot of love for her. she is a beautilful person inside and out.I practically knew about her all my life and I had the pleasure of meeting her too.and I worked at her fathers home too......just my thoughts on this.....

I am similar to Syd and lilsurprises...I saw her video on VH1 and saw her on the cover of Rolling Stone. I was intrigued at first b/c of who she was, but instantly connected with her lyrics the first time I listened to her cd.

The reason I started this thread was out of my own curiosity...because I can relate to Lisa somewhat. People use to let me get up and sing with their band...just because of my dad...but then after I sang with them..they kept letting me get up with them..because of ME...Lisa's the same way...People may have listened to her for the first time because of Elvis...but we listened to her a 2nd time..and endless times now...because of HER!!!

My confession......
I was a big Elvis fan. Face it, he's amazing. Liked Lisa, thought she was pretty cool. But when I heard she was putting an album out, i thought "Oh man, what a sellout, thinks she can sing" I REGRET IT NOW!!! But, as luck would have it, one day I heard lisa's music, and it was amazing...and here i am! _________________________ I've found a door which lets me out!
