I went to the doctors today because I was having stomach pains and my esophagus was closing up on me !
He gave me Prevacid samples to try
Anyone else have this problem?

I suffer from acid reflux too been having it for three years now..

lisaisinmyheart , Are you on any medication to treat this ? Has your doctor done a Test called Endoscopy ?

I dont have it but give out meds. to patients all the time for it...Prevacid or Nexium are a couple of the best medications for it. You definitely dont want that acid burning your esophagus, it can do alot of damage. Good luck, hope you feel better.

hi jackie yes I take Prevacid like you no I have'nt had it done yet but me and doctor are talking about having this treatment done he's said it is the next step to have done for this..

lilsurprises , I'm glad to see Prevacid is on the list but I do noticed my face has red spots like a sun burn is that normal ? It dosen't hurt it just looks like I been out in the sun ?

may be just a mild reaction to it.. if it gets worse i'd call the doctor to ask if you should stop taking it..

lisaisinmyheart , I no it's to soon for me first day knowing this but you should have it done if you have been in pain for 3 years . You want to make sure there are no cancer growing .
I read the do's and don't on food I can see I need to do a lot of changing in my food intake . Sleeping is another thing that need to change I read that you have to have your body upright in sleeping not straight down .

this has changed my life full circle...everything I do has changed,,yes i know I should have had test done I am hard headed i was a little scared at first...but know I'm going let the doctor go head and do the test now..

HAVE YOUR DOC LOOK INTO YOUR VEGAS NERVE ,AND TRY ABOUT 40MGS OF NEXIUM PRN,OR TWICE DAILY AS RECOMMENDED.TAKE CARE OF YOUR SELF FRIEND.

i.e. 'Vagus' nerve, because the nerve ending is nomadic and vague with its needs, it doesn't gamble in a big golden city,also doesnt have much to do with reflux unless you're choosing to satisfy it with too many dairy products and wow I think I've had this conversation before.Unreal.

Good luck Jackie, hope you feel better.I take pepcid for reflux with my celiac disease, it doesnt cause too much discomfort.
