ok so never in my life have I ever gotten into Black Friday. I never stood in line for Ninja Turtles or Power Ranger figurines back in the day at Toys R us to get certain ones. Heck, if they didn't have that one, I told them to use their imagination lol and I would get it in January after they restock the shelves. But then 2 years ago I was in south florida visting my sister, son and brother et al and we all go to Black Friday. Geez, here I am with coffee in hand at 4am in the morning standing outside Target and um hellooooooo it happens to be cold this morning considering we are in Florida. So I am shivering, well someone got their wires crossed and doors open at 5am...nope, try again. they opened at 6am so for 2 hours, did I mention 2 hours? we are standing there in this line that wraps completely around the front of this store, past the garden dept and all the way around back. (if you can only see my face) so they let us in, then I see people jumping line!! SOS MAYDAY MAYDAY, I yell for POLICE! LOL and ratted them out heheheheh they had to get to back of line! yipppppppppeeeeee so we shop everything was fun, nothing major purchased except the toys for the kiddos.

fastforward to this past Black Friday...so ok now I get talked into this again with family/friends. Up at 3:30 am to start coffee and showers because we have to be heading to town and walmart and pick up someone at 4:30 so we will be ontime for 5am. We get there Walmart and the ONLY reason I consented to go yet again to this insane shopping frenzy event is because I look at the sale paper and ok they are going to have egyptian 500 count thread sheets for $20.00. (taking a few breaths before I continue) well! I get to the bin that is now surround by a bunch of cows who have rummaged through the entire bin, selected what they wanted and now stood there next to stacks of sheet sets 10 to 20 deep with their hands on the stacks!!!!!!! IS this allowed?? those COWS would not move, I said excuse me as I wanted to see if or what was left, nope. I was getting mad. I was about to kick their stacks over because technically they are no ones until 5am correct??? and then grab what I wanted LOL but after that played out in my head for a moment then I thought drats I don't feel like being on the news nor sitting in the back of a police car! LOL I ended up ****ing lemons in the garden dept until our posse was ready to leave
so anyway I am NEVERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR going to another Black Friday, how about you? share your experiences. Hope they were better than mine!

I love black friday we usually go every year. I waited till later this year cause it was cold and my bed was warm & warm bed trumps saving money any day..
Usually the people i've encounted have been pretty friendly me an some lady looked through pjs for like 10 mins the other day she asked me what I was lookin for so she could keep an eye out and told me what she needed I found the one she wanted and gave it to her..lol
I have heard some horror stories though. This year in a neighboring town 2 moms got in a fight over a my size barbie and their kids were standing there..lol wtg mommas what great role models..nothing like that is worth fighting for IMO. I try to be extra nice to the cashiers on black friday..lol I would not want to deal with people on that day.
In the 24 hr walmart close to here they let people come in whenever and they get around the pallets they want but they aren't uncovered till 5am and everyone lines up, ive never been to that one but my uncle said thats how it works and they have cops in the store.

wow now thats crazyyy to me! People are out of control! I cannot see myself EVER shopping at that insane hour! LOL That deal for the sheets sounded great Jonee, but I still couldnt do it. ONLY for Lisa will I stand in lines, at all hours, in crazy weather throughout the United States, lollll. (not even my favorite Rock band of all time will I do that!) ha!

Thats some whacked out stuff man...I just dont get that mentality at all. In Boston here at some dept store, They have a bridal sale every year...Famous designer dresses and whatnot...Peeps/bridezillas and their moms line up for hours and basically brutalize people in the store...its on the news every year

I've never heard of Black Friday but I hate xmas shopping.

My advise - do it all online! There is no way am I getting up at some silly hour or even going shoping at normal times cos you just get pushed and shoved around. What is the point? Just for something that will be played with for six months then never looked at again, or something you will never wear? I'm not hitting the shops this year! Lol

If I had my way (and the money) I'd be sat on a beach somewhere warm and ignore all the festive malarky! Ok - so I'm a humbug! Lol.
