She's been feeling...not-so-great for over a month now, and I finally got her to go to the Dr. yesterday.
After she had some bloodwork done, the Dr. called today and said "get yourself to a hospital NOW"...so I came home from work and took her to the hospital right away. That was four, five hours ago. I just got home....they kept her there, admitted her and did all kinds of hospitally things to her, and are still doing them. thanks, gang - your thoughts and prayers will work wonders for her.
I just talked to her on the phone, and she's in ICU tonight, and as soon as they get her sugar down to normal (120 is normal - when she was admitted, hers was almost 800), they'll do a transfusion. She sounds okay on the phone...I miss her like madness. Pen and Bree, my white light vibes are coming your way! I am sorry Pen is in the ICU, I know she is hating it bigtime. She is normally so careful from what I know of with her sugar intake. I am glad though that you made her go to a hospital, we do not want to lose our MOFO PEN to a seizure!!!!! Good looking out Bree!
