as you know Gustav is heading straight for Louisiana, straight for New Orleans and Houma, Duggies' hometown. Her family has been ordered to evacuate, they started yesterday, moving north. It will be a cat 5 by the time it reaches the shore, again it will be a monster, most natural barriers are gone. We have offered them our home if , God forbid, they have nothing to go back to. We can't do anything but wait for this to pass. It will hit Monday some time. God watch over them, over Louisiana.

It is so scary!!! I have been watching CNN.

I hope her family is ok. you are so kind to open your home I hope there is no need though .....

well, it looks like the eye will go over or just west of Houma, that means they will get the swells. I hope the levees hold.

well, Rosary finally got thru to her family in Fort Worth, they have gotten news that some family members have indeed lost their homes, and the local high school was on fire. geez, I know it coulda been worse, but we still don't know if Rosary's house is ok. more waitin I guess.

I hope everything works out for Rosarys family... I hope the rains move off fairly quickly and there isnt too much more damage.

Today Rosary got thru to some friends in Washington that have had contact. Everyone is scattered to the winds, and no one can go home till Friday. No power no water. Everyone is well, thank God, even some that stayed.

Rosarys' family will be heading home today, it will be a long trek, hours in traffic, but they are so excited to be going home. We had to Western Union some cash for them yesterday, but news is good. Mary, Rosary's sister was called from work and asked to come in, lol. She told them she was in Texas, and they said well come in tomorrow,lol.

I just saw some pics on the Houma news website, the light poles are everywhere knocked down like match sticks, looks like electric is weeks away.
