Elvis ..Congratulation with your 71 birthday,wherever you are You are still in our hearts As you all know, or should, today is the official Elvis B-Day ,January 8, and even in Oslo, Norway. Twice each year, for his birthday in January and his death day in August, The Norwegian rock scene and the Norwegian Elvis fan club Flaming Star pays tribute to Elvis Presley. This time we had a really great tribute day on Saturday, the day before his birthday, at an well known music club called "Muddy Waters" and "Rock Bottom" in Oslo. A Norwegian artist with the name Paal Flaata, played together with R.C Finnegan & The Memphis Soul Revue, and they made a really great show. Other Norwegian artists was The Allright Mamas and Suns Of Rock. They also showed videos and concerts with Elvis on a big screen, so the tribute was great as it should be. I always go to these events because I'm one of the King's longtime loyal fan, even if I was too young to see a concert in The States when he was alive. I`m born in 1969, 2 february. so. But I have had the pleasure to meet people such as James Burton (4 times) and the TCB Band, Kathy Westermorland, Elvis Memphis 69 Session Band, Scotty Moore, Charlie Hodge, Jerry Lee Lewis and so on. So...The Elvis music will still touch our hearts. Greetings from Oslo |
