This thread's got nothing to do with Lisa, but I need your help.
I work as a teacher. My school is located in a bad neighborhood and the kids can't really play anywhere. No playgrounds at all. So we need money to do something about it. We do have a plan and some great ideas, but no money. I love those kids, I work with them and their moms since 1991 and I could sure use some ideas about how to get sponsors/money.. http://www.everyoneweb.com/presleypaintings/ Lisa asked me :"Was it worth it?" Well one suggestion I have is this:
I've noticed here that at the grocery store at checkout they will ask you if you sponsor a school and if so which one. The store will donate so much per sale per person signed up as a sponsor. This may not raise money quickly and I'm not sure how you might set something like that up, but you will end up with alot of money raised in the end. I think here they do it all through the school year and stop during the summer. Don't know if this helps any but other than the usual school fund raising stuff that's all I got for you right now. ~kickass ~A stranger is a friend I haven't met yet. The Church's here donate money to the schools sometimes when they have like a Fish dinner or they sell pastries or whatever....

Our schools raise moeny through ...bake sales,or sponsored runs, or sponsored walks..people who run or walk,get people to sponsor them, and say..pay them so much money per mile they walk/run,and the money goes to the project.
You could also start a newsletter about the project, asking for donations from whomever it's sent to, AND having businesses sponsor by having an ad placed in the newsletter.They buy space in it to advertise their business. Thanks guys, for your ideas..
I did some research today and there are some organisations in Holland that give money for things like this, we can try that, but I don't know if that'll work, cause they ask some things back, like opening up the playground, also in the weekends and that'll be difficult, cause we need people to watch the kids. http://www.everyoneweb.com/presleypaintings/ Lisa asked me :"Was it worth it?" talk to the sports teams ...like softball or football or baseball ...kids teams ...and alot of times they do fund raisers you know ....

Yes we will try the church too.
