well...i have to say ...ive been through the mill with my mental health and i have to agree w/ ya on everything but the meds. ...i think you really have to know your body and have a doctor that knows what he is doing or even cares enough...and after 10 years i did. ...however he even tried to put me on some sht that had proazac in it and i didnt know that ....could of told him that one lol...but nope found out the hard way ...it made me shake too and feel like hell and cry and sht....5 days after im off of it and back on my reg. Effexor ...it all stopped ..so YES i think its shamefully over half a scam ....not everyone needs medication...but in cases like me that im so used to it ..since teenager ...and know the difference off of it....i need it. ...BUT yes im superstitious too lol...and paranoid sometimes over nothing ...but that may be just my imagination running wild. ...but PHYSICALLY i feel bad if i dont take my medication or take to much. ...so anyway ...
i think it works if you really have a problem ...but VERY DANGEROUS long term ...i agree w/ u on the scam part of that....i feel like ive been forced (feeling better however) into a world of pills. ...idk its early ...ill get back to ya on this lol....thanks for posting. ....btw. ...i would of believed that bird was a sign too lol...AND my great great aunt was into all the wicca medicine. ...she died of alcoholism so go figure. ....

plus ive had many major surgery's and being put under changes you brain chemistry too ...

you 2 sound like you know what your talking about and i agree about the meds i think sometimes docs give you the meds to keep you quiet and thats not what they are for. i guess i feel rather lucky i had a lucky escape with meds i dont take any. not for want of them trying, 2 mental health practitioners and my g.p. tryed to get me to take some i tryed them because folish me thought they new what they were talking about. they made me sleepy but not able to sleep so i didnt take anymore and guess what? im glad i didnt ive made loads of improvements without them and shocked the docs who had no faith in me or my abilities. dont know about were you live but in the uk i think if there was better mental health services and more support for people like me the meds would not be used half as much. my thought was when i feel better i want to know its because i do feel better not some fauls feeling better like meds give you they make you think your getting better when your not and that can do more harm than good. i know my improvements are true, real and all me

sometimes i feel like going to the supreme court and sue every single psychiatrist ive seen since 1985....since my whole problem was i did alot of acid when i was young ...and they never talk about that. ....i KNOW i wasnt manic-depressed when i was 10-11 years old. ...NO SIGNS OF IT...until after i did alot of acid ...i was in treatment for a year at 15 years old. ...thought i was a witch....COZ I WAS ON ACID remember....and my dad is the only one who got to me on that one ....he said if your a witch you turn me into a Fng Frog right now. i was like ..oh. well maybe not. lol...lmao ...but then im put on a NARCOTIC. ...at 15 coming off acid and pot ...whats yer opinion on that one? im about ready to march those steps to the Supreme Court everytime i hear someone say its all a scam.

and ive NEVER sued anyone. and one doctor i had that over-medicated me when she knew i was doing street drugs....IS IN PRISON. for overmedicating people ...they shut her down and rushed her office ....and it was a NICE office mind you .

yeah BEE do you have free health care there? btw also now they tell me i dont even need a psychiatrist ...after this long? all of a sudden? did i get better ? or does my ins. not want to pay? i feel better now that im seeing a MD only ...but he talks to me more than the dam psychiatrist ...and is 50. less an hour too. ...insaine. ...some people can not afford health care and the ones that can half of them are mis-diagnosed jmo. and ill try to move on from this subject...that i have been debating for YEARS before LISA ever was a rock star lol...*

yes our health care in uk is free but its not any better i have not got as far as seeing a psychiatrist yet ive been refered but dam g.p. useless took her mths to make the referal after she told us she had already done it and she not even done it right. we got somebody looking and she cant find a referal for me anywere at all that useless as if being told id have to wait up to a year to see anybody was not enough. stupid g.p. said if we went privert and paid we could see somebody next day how unfair is that. its stupid because people dont realise that they can have problems so easy, you said yours are from taking drugs mine are bad luck and other peoples thoughtless actions. i think we need more people like lisa telling it like it is because you never think it could happen to you it needs people who can shout loud enough to make them see before its to late that it can. i wish somebody had told me dont you?

well not all to taking drugs i blame. ..but they def. didnt help. ...thats strange how we have the same problem with healthcare....makes me so mad. idk what to say ...but that doc.'s are diagnosing wayyyyy to quick. ...you cant diagnose a chronic disease in one sitting ..and unfortunately thats what they are doing ...believe me ive seen it change ..it used to not be this way ...
