on the subject of mental health/ hearing voices.
in biblical times hearing voices was revered i mean think about it the bible was written by people hearing voices not just any voice *gods voice* as funny as that seems we have a religion based on people hearing voices.. i suppose it was a kind of holy alchemical transformation these people went through reaching a sort of god head/higher self.. but you have to look at the collective of christianity as a whole and what it achieves and the power of prayer has been proven to work. A ton of famous people have suffered mental illness Abraham Lincoln, Florence Nightingale, Van Gogh, The list goes on.. |

that is true there are many times when people have heard voices and clamed that it was god who can tell you cant say if they are right or wrong. if you hear voices i would guess (because ive never heard them myself so i can only guess) it only becomes a problem if they tell you to do bad things. some people say they hear voices kind voices that help them i mean there are those people like on the tv who say they can comunicate with the dead at the end of the day it all comes down to beleife we all beleive what we want to beleive and i personaly beleive as long as nobody is getting hurt it does not matter what you beleive or hear. but these days there is a lot of descrimination around mental illness and many people hurt more than they have to because they are to afraid of what others will say so they dont seek the help they need to live there lives as fully as possible. me personaly im 26yrs old and im only just starting to live my life and only just learning to be myself 2007 im hoping is going to be a year for me to build a future for myself a future that 6mth ago i never thought possible so i say watch out world here i come even though i am quiet i intend to make some noise

not all voices that people hear are bad some people hear voices that keep them on the straight and narrow and that help them to make choices that they would find difficult to make without the voices. its like all things there are good and bad sides its just a matter of which one life deals you and if you can cope with all that you get. and majik you may be guessing at some of this and as you say pulling it out of your arse but im doing a course in mental health and i think half of the time im talking rubbish on my course work but it always seems to come back saying good or great work. personaly i think there is no better thing in life than experience and listening to what others have to say |

good for you ...im glad your in that field.....i took some psychology at the beg. of college. ...and had some personal problems that ...i switched major's of all things to paralegal/business. ...excuse my language too btw...and i agree some things in mental health and medicine and even law ...sometimes sounds like rubbish...on how you have to explain it ....(have written many papers in college AND IM SO GLAD I DONT HAVE TO ANYMORE i HATED THAT IN SCHOOL...ANYWAY..LOL..sorry ...

i understand i of all people understand that what you mean to say and what you actually say can be quite different its fine thats just life. and i see you used my fave word SORRY you have nothing to be sorry for you have a right to your say/ oppinions and should never say sorry for having them or how you say them kind and true people will never take offence. i understand more than most that what you think is not always easy to say or write. i know im not smart and could never do psychology or anything like that but i just try to do my best and hope someday it will pay off. knowing my luck lately it will all be a screwup like the rest of my life so far but who can tell |

thank you slimboss well i thought that things could not get any worse well i was wrong things in my life were bad enough then my mum end up in hospital week before christmas she still there yet and now to top that all off my sis been sent to hospital they think shes got pnewmonia and it not fair on her 2 kids they only 2 and 4 it was already bad enough for them with there dad in prison. i just hope things get better soon i can but hope |

i like this web site not just because its all full of lisa but its also full of great people too. somebodys praying worked because i got an email from my tutor michelle shes a fantastic woman who gives me so much support with things and always helps feel less stressed i can email her anything. with her supportive coments on things and you guys supportive comments too i feel stronger right now and less alone lets hope it last |
