April 14, 1865--President Abraham Lincoln was shot while attending a performance at Ford`s Theater. He died the next morning.
April 12, 1945--President Franklin Delano Roosevelt died. He was the only President to serve four terms in Office. World War II ended four months later.

April 9th, 1917. - 20,000 Canadian soldiers started their attack at Vimy Ridge, 3600 would loose their lives at Vimy but the battle would be won. Its an important part of Canadian history.
