Did you get to go to the church? I would definitly go if it were close by to my house--but I guess that`s cuz I`m a history buff. I watched the coverage on Cspan. Not as much pomp and circumstance as President Reagan`s funeral but it was fitting for a man who was dubbed the "accidental President."

I watched all the cars go by at work during Ford's drive from the airport to the church ( I think that's where they were going) By the time I got home and tried to get there I couldn't get anywhere close to see anything. It's estimated that around 50 thousand ppl were outside the church and around the musuem watching. I don't know how accurate that number was but it looked like everybody came out to watch. So I ended up going back home, missed the church service cause I was at work, but caught the end. I could hear the cannon fire outside before I heard it on tv. That was pretty cool. I went outside when they did the flyover, tried to get a picture but couldn't get the planes in focus on my stupid camera. I could barely see the planes because they were soo low, just even with the tops of the trees in the back yard.....if you didn't know they were supposed to be there, you would've missed seeing them entirely. You could hear them coming but that's the only warning. If there is ever a reason to come vist grand rapids mi (like for an lmp concert, one could wish) the Ford museum isn't hard to get to.
