LONDON (AP) - Princes William and Harry are planning a pop concert and memorial service next year to mark the 46th birthday of their mother, Diana, Princess of Wales, and the 10th anniversary of her death. The concert is to feature some of Diana's favourite music and will be "full of energy, full of the sort of fun and happiness which I know she would have wanted," William said Tuesday in an interview with his father's press secretary, Patrick Harrison, which was released to the media. The band Duran Duran will perform along with Elton John, who sang "Candle in the Wind" at Diana's funeral. The concert will also include a performance by the English National Ballet and songs by Andrew Lloyd Webber in honour of Diana's love of dance and theatre. The concert is planned for July 1, which would have been Diana's 46th birthday, at Wembley Stadium in London. Money raised from the concert will go to charities she supported. A memorial service is also planned at an undisclosed location in London on Aug. 31, 10 years after Diana's fatal car crash in a Paris tunnel. She died along with her friend Dodi Fayed and their driver when their Mercedes crashed inside the Pont d'Alma tunnel as paparazzi pursued them. Members of the royal family, including the Queen, Prince Philip, Prince Charles, the princes' stepmother, Camilla, and Diana's siblings plan to attend the memorial service. I am sorry that i never paid attention to her when she was alive.
She seemed like she was a wonderful person. Her boys are now grown handsome men and my favorite is Harry. I hope they ask George Michael to join the concert because I remember watching a show and Princes Diana said she enjoys his music and even had a crush on him ...

Princes Diana was a fan of "Wham" before they broke up ..
Princes Diana also likes the band ABBA .. Most people do not know this ... I read it over at the ABBA forum long time ago .. |

When Michael Jackson was on tour and Princes Diana was at his concert , Princes Diana asked Michael Jackson if he was going to sing "Dirty Diana" and his response was no I didn't think you would like that song and she said to him ... I love that song ! |
