I have not seen that program but I do know that Lennon's entire career was full of controversy
~ he had some STRONG political & social views which the Nixon government did not like @ all as Lennon had a platform to "influence the masses" ~ they tried to have him deported from the USA b/c of an old pot charge...?? any excuse ~~ I LOVE the "BED PEACE" protest that he did with Yoko Ono to protest the war..... I think that he still does in a way ~ but now music is SOOOOOO - watered down & generic that there are very few who stand out (In my eyes LMP is one of them as well as Ani Difranco ~ but dispite their talent they are not so well known - They cannot compare with the LACK OF quality that is overwhelming the music industry now - Like Lisa said in an interview ~ it does not pay to have a personality anymore! and she was right
