Most americans are still sleeping at the wheel, but Bush and Cheney aren't. On May 9, George W Bush quietly signed a directive which will insure his presidency well beyond 2009. It's called the National Security and Homeland Security Presidential Directive. If an earthquake strikes America, or another terrorist attack similer to 9-11, maybe even an attack on the world's oil supply, George W Bush will remain president of the USA. So Hillary, John Edwards, John McCain, and all the other presidential hopefuls, don't get your hopes up too much, because you just might be disappointed in what the political future holds for everyone.....Geez! It's something to think about, isn't it?

Rotf...guess you don't know about the limitations of a presidency do you? In 2008 Bush has to relinquish his position whether he likes it or not, THANK GOD.

National Security and Homeland Security Presidential Directive

Funny... it doesn't say ANYTHING about a certain rule changing the length of a presidency.

You guys are talking about playing by the rules here. Does George W Bush actually play by the rules? From what i've seen, no!...Will Bush actually walk away from all the enormous power which has been given to him? I seriously doubt it....IMHO, George W Bush has his finger on over 10 thousand nuclear warheads. And all of this power has been given to a man who can't even tie his shoes without falling on his head. That's something to think about when you lay your kids down every night to sleep. Will the world see another sunrise? I believe Bush holds every man, woman, and child in the palm of his hands. Can total destruction of the world as we know it be averted? IMHO, no!!!.....With this weak congress and all the George W Bush supporters who are determined to stay the course, I believe our fate is now set in stone.....So what's my conclusion? Everyone should hug your kids everynight, live like there's no tomorrow, and enjoy life to it's fullest....

The only people who are asleep at the wheel are those of you who believe that there is no terror threat to the United States...those who believe that if we just sit back and leave them be, they`ll leave us alone.

Hmmm, I don't recall saying there's no terror threat. There is! Bush has created most of it. He played right into Ben Laden's hands by attacking Iraq. Now Ben Laden has people from all over the world signing up for his holy war against America. You see, before 9-11 there was just a small handfull of idiots sitting in an old dirty tent, planning to attack the trade center. All they had were box cutters when they took the planes. Now they have thousands, if not millions of idiots who have joined their cause...Why? Because George W Bush attacked Iraq....In short, George W Bush has created terrorism...Bush has made the world insecure. Geeez! He just traded nuclear technology for mangos in India not too long ago.

You are wrong. This threat has been a reality for many years, way before Bush came along and the numbers were strong even then.

George Bush did NOT create this terror threat.

When Clinton had the chance to capture--or kill-- bin Laden, HE DENIED authorization!

You can sputter and spin all you want about President Bush and his handling of the war on Islamic fascism, you cannot deny that since 9/11 he has been dedicated to the cause of crushing Islamic terrorism over there before they bring it back over here. Sounds like a good plan to me.

Similarly--there is NO way that any reasonable person can argue that the Clinton administration was dedicated to crushing Islamic terrorism. Clinton did indeed treat it like a law enforcement program. After the first Islamic terrorist attack on the World Trade Center in 1993 Clinton did not even bother to visit New York City to view the damage, talk to survivors and the families of those who lost their lives, or meet with NYC officials and first responders.

AND.,..what of the attack on the U.S. Cole? This was an attack on a U.S. Navy warship. Clinton was the Commander in Chief. The response? At best, lob a few cruise missiles. That`s it. Nothing more was done.

Also, this terror threat was in existence BEFORE Clinton took office. He was well aware of the threats to this country.

Oh, lol, so you wanna talk about Clinton? It's funny how he always comes up and he hasn't been president in 7 years...It's that old Clinton card being pulled again. Well, IMHO, the old dog just won't hunt anymore....Bill Clinton went after Ben Laden when he launched the missiles. He was then accused of wagging the dog. The Republicans were more interested in Bill's bedroom than Ben Ladin. Now Bush on the other hand was warned before 9-11. He was told of an attack that may involve planes. Bush was on vacation at the time. Nothing was done! He sat on his hands! Much the same way he did on 9-11...The man leans over and said, "Mr. President, the country is under attack." Then Bush turns white as a ghost and just sat there...When Bill Clinton left the White House he presented George W Bush with information stating Bin Laden was a grave threat to America. Bush probably pitched it in the trash. The info was never acted on...

Clinton had the chance....2 actually....where he could have given authorization to capture or kill bin Laden and he DENIED the authorization! He chose to ignore the problem. Not deal with it. Clinton sat on his hands and was asleep at the wheel. He let the sore fester and become what it is today. I mentioned Clinton because he is the Great Hope for Dems and libs.

Clinton left the White House with a 5 trillion dollar surplus. Bush spent it in one year...

Clinton invested in education....Bush eroded education with no-child-left-behind...Now kids are quitting school everywhere....

Clinton invested in infrastructure....Bush is selling infrastructure one bridge and road at a time. He wanted to sell the ports too, but word got out!

You can't sell me on Bush's insane policies...It's a lost cause!

Hi Unique Dog
Hope you're doing well...

The graduation rate may be up a bit but how will it help if one hundred thousand people graduate, and then three hundred million drop out? LOL!
