I want it to be known that My mother & her boyfriend, who is a Vietnam vet, drove from NY to D.C. to join the Gathering of Eagles. I for one am very proud of them. I also want it to be known that the vets went there simply to protect the monuments that are in honour and in memory of the vets that have died serving our country. The Eagles were there to protect the honour and memory of all of those men and women. In doing so let it be known that they ran the risk of being spat on by the idiotic moonbats! They simply stood in front of these monuments and allowed the "moonbats" to have their protest. As my mom said, it is their right to protest against this war. That is a right that the Vets have fought and bled for. They fought so that they could have their say. Another thing is notice that the moonbats had not ONE American falg. When this was pointed out to them they few that got them held them upside down and one nut actually took one of the vets falgs and tore it in anger! However, they were NOT going to allow them to deface and dishonour the Vietnam memorial and the other memorials that the "moonbats" went there to defile. I for one am VERY proud of my mom. The gathering of eagles will be a yearly event from now on. Also as a final note don't you find it interesting that the "moonbats" recieved about 99% of the newscoverage and the wonderful Vets that fought and bled for our country recieved almost NONE!

I`m happy your mother and her boyfriend attended this event. It`s unfortunate that they had to witness the insanity of the "war is bad" and "Bush lied, people died," crowd. It does not surprise me at all that the mainstream media only covered the side which suited their agenda.
