I am on a "budget" with my gas bill, last winter they raised it to $200 a month. If you pay the budget monthly, they say you don't get socked with a big bill you can't handle. I have been paying that much since last winter! So this month it finally goes down..it's f*cking September already! Sigh, it will go back up in a couple months! The really said part is we keep the place near freezing during the winter!! We never go past 62-65 degrees! And we still pay and arm and leg! Sigh....

What the hell woman?????? My bill didn't pass $250 in 20 below weather!!! and it's almost nill in summer Do you live in a condo or house???????? Those a.sholes are ripping you off!!!!!!

It's a big house, we rent the top half. Still it's crazy what we pay!

Gas bills are just nuts. I don't heat the whole house and my bill averages 175 to 200. We are having a cool spell now and I refuse to turn it on, poor Htown, lol. It is just ridiculous. I remember the days when electric was more than gas, but not now.

Betsy, guess what, some guy from the gas company was over here trying to get us to sign up for one of those programs, and he kept coming back every day!!! Trying to talk us into it. Now I don't know much about how kind hearted the Gas company is, but someone is paying this dude to try and sell us this, and you know what??? They wouldn't be trying so **** hard if this dude didn't get some kind of comission AND THE GAS COMPANY MAKES MONEY FROM IT. GET OFF THIS PROGRAM , IT'S A SCAM FOR THEM TO MAKE MONEY.

I don't have gas, but my electric bill has been in the $200's for a while now too. The price of heat/air along w/ gas prices will put a person in the poor house real quick!

Our gas bill is outragious too...The house is old and on the water...So I just chalked it up to that. We pay up to 350 a month in the winter...Thats with a wood burning stove...It totally ****s!!!!

I have considered signing up for that program this year...I just now finished paying off the bill for last season.

We have a whole new heating system now...Thanks to the flood rotf...I hope it makes a difference.

When I bought my first house the gas bill was thru the roof, $350 a month, then I replaced the old furnace, and it was cut in half, $150. My electric has never been more than $60. but I guess that all depends on the company you have to deal with. Highway robbery I say!!!!
