When I was blind and hoping to see again, we had rented this movie, so I listened to it, and vowed to actually watch it when I could see. I did this a couple nights ago.The essence of this movie is how in achieving a splendid goal these teachers and kids surpaased their wildest notions of learning about tolerance (for lack of a better term)and compassion , and a lot of healing went on from a very simple gesture of wanting to improve their own faculties and inner selves.I was very much impresseedc and touched. We should live by example, and this is one example that should be sought everyday.What if every school choose a bit of the human experience to explore and heal? The world would benefit a thousand fold.This is what the world matters forum is really all about. If you have netflix, blockbuster or just simply go out and rent movies, do your soul a favour, and check this flick out.

Saw it last night ... amazing. The compassion shown by all involved is inspiring. Impossible to watch it without crying. Def a must-see for when you get steeped in stereotypes and can't try to see the humanity in others, in yourself ... or when you think 'average' folks can't change anything.

Exactly,PLYE, glad you got to see it,what even one person can do when they make enough noise is incredible.All it takes is a little effort, and the snowball effect when other people are touched and effected is astounding.I love it.
