For doing absolutely nothing to deserve it...pathetic IMO. Totally takes aways it's value from those who have and will actually do deeds to earn it.

His fight, all he represents, his mental clarity and poise.. articulation... something about him deserves it, I think he's going to do more to actually EARN it though. The position he is in ..already deserves it...

So because some can give good speeches they warrant recieveing a nobel peace prize? Didn't realize that. I thought actually doing good deeds that help bring peace were what warranted that award. AS for the statment that simply because of the position he is in he deserves one...would you have said the same about Bush or Nixon etc? Simply because they became president no matter their actual deeds they automatically deserve one? I pray he does, though don't hold much hope, do more to earn because as of now I have seen nothing he has done other than make speech after speech.

Nobel Peace prize? for what? He hasn't done anything that promotes peace IMHO. Sending troops to afghanistan? I thought we were pulling out and bringing the troops home. My political science class last quarter had me read several articles about how his administration is just the bush administration with "prettier wrapping." and the evidence is there.

What I have to say, wouldnt be recieved nor understood well, in what I know to be the world matters schism.. nor under the disrespective grind of teh republican bootheel...but, no, I'd not have said teh same if it were Bush.

The man's election did make them dance in the streets as far as New zealand..becoz america had turned a corner and rejoined the world as perhaps a once again decent community....

While I heart me some Pen,,,I disagree. Nobody else has won the Nobel Peace Prize based on a promise,,,They had to do years of research, whatever they did,,,they had to prove and win it. Maybe he will in the future but he hasnt really done anything yet...thats all I am saying,
